My early interest in ceramics and my consequent work in textile weavings have ultimately led me to painting.
Growing up in Montreal, Quebec, I was exposed to the paintings of my Aunt, also called Prudence Heward, who was very active in Montreal during the 1920's and 30's.
Consequently I have returned to what can be viewed as a certain family tradition (with both my brothers who also paint).
I find painting to be an immensely enjoyable and spiritually fulfilling activity. It gives me immense pleasure.
